French & Happy - A Story of Joyful and Exclusive Co-Creation

I firmly believe that museums do not hold a monopoly on art, and that art can - and should - be part of everyday life.
That is why I chose silk as a canvas, and each illustrator as an editor of joy.

Supporting French female creativity lies at the very heart of the French & Happy brand.

The Co-Creation Process: How Is a French & Happy Scarf Born?

Each scarf is the result of a meeting and mutual trust.
I select artists whose universe resonates with my philosophy - colour, poetry, feel-good energy.
Together, we define a “moment of happiness” to illustrate.

The artwork is then printed in Italy and crafted in Lyon, in very limited editions (50 pieces per design).

For This First Collection, I Had the Pleasure of Collaborating With

Didilanoli (@didilanoli)

Illustrator of the “Bora-Bora” scarf

Didilanoli is a French graphic designer and illustrator.
She lives near Paris to stay close to the creative flow while enjoying the countryside, at the heart of what inspires her most: Nature.

She works with major brands, publishing houses, and international NGOs such as Médecins Sans Frontières, Fair Trade, UNESCO, and the United Nations.

Her work belongs to a naïve universe, characterised by geometric shapes and vibrant colours - a true magical jungle and a beautiful invitation to escape.

About the Bora-Bora scarf

“I imagined a lush, fresh scarf with vivid colours that brighten an outfit.
I wanted to create a dreamlike, colourful atmosphere inspired by nature and animals - constant sources of creativity - expressing my deep desire to connect with the natural world.

I was delighted to work with Perrine, and I find the result beautiful.
It’s the first time my original colours have been reproduced so faithfully; the fabric is incredible and the final product is truly high quality.”

Julieetozzy (@julieetozzy)

Illustrator of the “Cocooning” scarf

Julie is a librarian by day and an illustrator by night.
She loves creating colourful, joyful illustrations featuring women, plants, books, patterns - and cats.

She mainly draws on her iPad but regularly experiments with new techniques: coloured pencils, watercolour, gouache…
Her warm universe perfectly captures the essence of well-being at home.

About the Cocooning scarf

“For this collaboration with French & Happy, the theme was joy and happiness.
I chose to illustrate a daily scene I love: being at home with a book, a cup of tea, and a few sweet treats.

All of this in a cosy, colourful environment, surrounded by plants, with a sleeping cat nearby - a little moment in one’s own bubble, taking time just for oneself.

I really love the result: this colourful scarf is soft and pleasant to wear.
The print quality is beautiful, with vivid, radiant colours on the silk!”

Lisa Masse (@lisa_masse)

Illustrator of the “Dolce Vita” scarf

Lisa Masse is a French artist from Le Havre. She grew up crafting, drawing, and experimenting with countless creative ideas.
After studying interior architecture, she rediscovered drawing during lockdown with nothing more than a simple box of coloured pencils.

That moment marked a turning point: she later moved to digital illustration and developed a distinctive personal style.

Now freelance, she creates floral, joyful, slightly naïve illustrations, telling gentle, fleeting moments of life - as ephemeral as the flowers she draws.
She loves cycling, drinking tea… and mimosa flowers.

Her softness and naïve style beautifully celebrate the joy of friendship.

About the Dolce Vita scarf

“I loved creating this scarf for French & Happy.
It was my first time working on this type of medium, and I immediately loved it — imagining an illustration that lives through movement, worn, tied, made one’s own.

Perrine suggested depicting a moment of life that resonates with me… so I chose a gentle landscape, a suspended moment between friends.
A poetic, idyllic setting — like a little parenthesis you wish you could keep forever.

I naturally chose warm colours, the kind that bring warmth to a scene and that I also love to wear myself.

And then there was meeting Perrine, the brand’s creator: a real pleasure, a simple and fluid exchange that made the project even more beautiful.

I’m delighted with the final scarf — it’s high quality, luminous, and truly beautiful.
A piece that tells exactly what I wanted to share.”
